13Oct2011: Farming in Transition
We are pleased to advice you that the postponed Farming in Transition event will now be going ahead on Thursday 13th October 2011 here at the college in the Boutflour Hall.
The event is being supported by the Skills Programme and this means that we can offer Farmers, Foresters and their employees funding of 50% reducing the delegate fee to £22.50. (price includes all refreshments and lunch)
The aim of the day is to follow on from our first Transition Farms Seminar held in 2009, to provide an opportunity to share in the experiences of those farmers and organisations that are supporting farmers who are already in transition. The workshop is intended to offer practical guidance for those farmers seeking to address the unique challenges facing our industry at this time. The experts and speakers will be available all day to offer help and advice. In addition they have also agreed to support individuals in the future via a new Farming Group that Dr Richard Baines has kindly agreed to head up.
The programme is attached and you will see that the day will include plenty of time to discuss the challenges facing the industry as well as plenty of time to hear from the attendees, we would greatly appreciate hearing about any of your experiences throughout the day. With this in mind we are going to restrict the number of delegate places for this event and give priority to farmers and their employees.
We do hope that you find the event of interest and we would be grateful if you would kindly pass on the information to anyone that you feel may want to join us.
Please accept my apologies for any cross postings.
Wishing you all a great summer.
Kind regards & best wishes,
Beverley
