How to help Mebyon Kernow in the run up to the election

A number of people have asked me what they can do to help Mebyon Kernow in the run up to the election, as Dick Cole has written standing as a candidate or helping leaflet and doorknock and of course convincing friends, family, neighbours etc to vote MK are the primary ways of helping. I would also suggest that you can help the party online too, handy for those of you outside of Cornwall or who can't help in other ways.

Here's how you can help on social media, we have a facebook page http://www.facebook.com/MebyonKernow and a twitter page https://twitter.com/MebyonKernow/ and a google plus account https://plus.google.com/112982730102125390745/posts On our website http://www.mebyonkernow.org/ we have various buttons to share content to facebook, twitter and google plus etc. Myself and others spend a great deal of time building these sites and attracting people to them. I think as a party we can be proud of our social media presence. For those of you that already retweet our content on twitter, send positive tweets about MK. Like our posts on facebook and comment and share them thank you. Please keep it up and I implore more of you to come forward and support us online.

All of the political parties are utilising social media to campaign in their Cornwall Council election campaigns to explain their policies and highlight their candidates. People from other parties are coming onto our social media sites and arguing against us. Analysis of the SNPs resounding victory in the last Scottish Parliament elections revealed that of all the parties in that election more people talked about the SNP online and more people made positive comments about them than any other party. Social media is not the be all and end all, but it is an important battleground and many people are online and on social media deciding who to vote for the more opportunities they get to see Mebyon Kernow's articles, press releases and blogs the more chance they can see who we are and what we stand for. If we want to emulate the success of the SNP then I'd love to see Mebyon Kernow being as good online as the SNP are.

Thanks in advance
