community energy scheme

Another community company like this awards grants to local residents instead of paying out 'dividends'. That way you are eligible for grants and avoid having to pay tax. However, it does not provide a regular income to the community to safeguard people from future energy price increases.
There seem to be lot of grants available for such community based project and sometimes it may even be possible to finance the whole project through grants.
