27-28Jul2013: Outdoor First Aid Training

We, at Nature Workshops, are organizing Outdoor First Aid Training for our staff/volunteers. To keep prices down we are opening the course up to COAST members (works out cheaper for everyone!) So here are the details:

This Intermediate Outdoor First Aid for has been designed to meet the
content requirements of BELA, MLTE, BCU and RYA and is also an excellent
programme to meets the requirements of leadership for Duke of Edinburgh
Award, Scout and Guide Associations. Additionally this course meets the
recommendations of the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 for
Appointed Persons in the Workplace.

This course covers the basic essentials required to provide emergency care
to a patient where emergency services may be remote or delayed from the
incident location. Candidates will receive training in a range of first
aid skills.

We will be running two open courses on the below dates. We will need a
minimum of 5 attendees to run any one course. Places will be allocated on
a first come first served basis.

Dates for this course are:

Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th July

Course: Intermediate Outdoor First Aid
Times: 9.30am - 4pm
Price: £85pp (30% discount)
Location: Redruth Rugby Club (free parking)
£50 venue rental fee will be covered by attendees - approximately £8.50pp if 12 people attend (payable on the day or to Sam)

Your place on the course is not guaranteed until full payment has been
made or an prior arrangement has been met with the Trainer/assessor.
Places are allocated on a first come first served basis. maximum of 12
candidates per course.

Full payment for any course should be made no later than 10 days before
the start date of a course. Payment can be made by cheque or via a direct
bank transfer.

CANCELLATIONS: In the event a candidate or candidates are cancelled
altogether from the course the following charges will apply: -

Should you cancel your booking for any reason up to 7 days before the
commencement of the course; Full payment will be returned

Should you cancel your booking up to 6 - 5 days before the commencement of
course; Aberfal First Aid will return 50% of the full cost.

Should you cancel your booking up to 4 - 2 days before the commencement of
course, Aberfal First Aid will return 75% of the full cost.

Should you cancel your booking within 24 hours of the commencement of the
session/course, Aberfal First Aid will return 100% of the full cost.

ATTENDANCE: Delegates must adhere to the dates and timings as arranged in
the booking confirmation process. Failure to attend any part of the course
will result in the delegate’s removal from the course or final examination
(where applicable).
