‘Last night I dreamt I built my own house’ 7.30pm, The Old Craft Ed building, Schumacher College, Dartington

Come along and take part in an evening of practical demonstrations managed expectations and realistic aspirations surrounding natural design and build.

Basically, for non-builders who would like to build their dream homes....

Four local leading natural build experts describe how they look to the planet for the ultimate source

of sustainable materials, using local sources and a hands-on approach.

Robert and Lydia Somerville, Lydia Somerville will talk about starting to build Thrift cottage as a single woman hands-on self builder

Linda Lemieux will do some practical cordage making and show footage of her harvesting the rushes in her coracle boats

Paul Barclay will describe his move from the world of I.T to cob building and how he fulfilled his dream of building his own home up in Dartington village near The Cott Inn.

Three experts share their skills and experience and talk about the eagerly awaited

Schumacher Natural Build Certificate Jan – June 2012– seven short courses in natural build and refurbishment on the beautiful Dartington Estate

A veritable feast of local bakers, cheese and cider makers and mushroom producers share their secrets and you get to sample their wares

Local Barefoot Beekeeper Phil Chandler’s shares his honey pot of bee knowledge
