21Sep2011: HOW EASY IS IT TO LIVE AN ETHICAL LIFE?

Here's the information on next week's meeting. It'll be a good chance to discuss the incinerator in a public forum (issues around 'how can we live ethically when these things are dumped on us?' or 'how do we live a low carbon lifestyle when we have things like incinerators emitting hundreds of thousands of tonnes per year of CO2 on our doorstep?' spring to mind). At least you won't get stonewalled as you were by mr Clegg.

HOW EASY IS IT TO LIVE AN ETHICAL LIFE?

A discussion with Leo Hickman, the distinguished Guardian environmental journalist

Wednesday 21st September, 6.30pm, The Eden Café, St Austell

Join us for the latest fascinating instalment of our Eden Café conversations, featuring Leo Hickman and Oliver Baines of Groundswell Cornwall exploring what it means to live ethically, with Eden's Sue Hill in the chair. Showcasing our new community café in St Austell, the evening will be a chance to discuss the practicalities of living a truly ethical life, whilst Leo will share experiences from his experiment in actually trying to do it, A Life Stripped Bare. The conversation will range across global and local challenges, the day-to-day pitfalls of trying to do the right thing, and the knotty topic of how much difference one individual can make.

Views welcome from everyone - come and join in!
