12Mar2010: Wild Food Walk

Friday 12th March 10am -12.30pm

Wild Food Walk

2 hour wild food walk with Caroline Davey from Fat Hen www.fathen.org

Come and identify and discover the wild edible plants growing in hedgerows and farmland near St Buryan and find out about the delicious recipes you can create with these plants.

Many of these plants were once commonly eaten but the knowledge has been eroded over time. Find out what our ancestors ate and how you can incorporate these plants safely into your diet.

The walk is approximately 2km along quiet lanes and across fields from Fat Hen, Gwenmenhir, Boscawen-noon Farm, St Buryan. TR19 6EH (Map Grid Ref SW419276) to Sancreed (Map Grid Ref:SW420294)

The walk starts at 10am and costs #12.50 per person

Bring walking boots and waterproofs.

Contact Caroline on 01736 810156/ 07767 792417 or email caroline@fathen.org

See the website for directions. We are located off the A30, 1 mile past catchall towards Land End and not in the village of St Buryan. Don't rely on Sat Nav as it takes you to the wrong farm. See the website for directions and a map.
