Thank you Paul for your very plausible explanation. What you have said looks emminently reasonable so please accept my apologies for doubting your integrity.
It does however lead to another question and I have more serious concerns over this. I understand that you are the sole remaining Director of Transition North Cornwall Ltd so I would question the ethics of the use of your own Transition website as an Election platform. I realise that your detailed response to the question raised by "e-mail contributor" does refer to Transition issues in the form of wind and tidal energy so for that reason you could probably justify what you have done. I know it is not in the same league as MPs claiming for moat cleaning, duck houses, wood-rot removal, rocking chairs etc but it does seem that you could be accused of using your position of power (as Webmaster of a Transition group) for personal gain. This may not matter of course but you could be doing yourself a grave disservice if the Electorate in your area take the attitude of "Well, if he can use something like a Transition website for his own purposes what would he do if he actually got elected? Can we trust him?". Also, does the MK Party (or the Transition movement) know and approve of what you are doing?
Having said that I have no axe to grind over MK issues and I wish you luck in the forthcoming election. I am sure you will get all the votes you deserve.
My apologies again.
Chas.
